My hair is incredibly straight. I want to try to get pretty loose waves out of it, but I've got no idea how. I've never really used anything but a straightener and a blowdryer before, I have no idea how to go about using a curling iron or rollers (thats so sad lol). My hair is about 2 inches above my shoulders, very fine, and layered. Thanks for the help!!!

use a wide barreled (like 3 inch) curling iron, or really big hot rollers. dont roll them all the way to your scalp. if you use the iron. you can do it two ways, experiment and see what you like better.

keep the iron open and very carefully(ive burnt my fingers sooo many times!) wrap the hair around the iron, make sure you dont do it really tight on there, this is for beachy(ish) waves
WAY2
clip the bottom part of your hair with the iron and twist(make sure you dont twist the opposite way so that the hair has a crease) and twist, but not all the way to your scalp (this well make more sexy waves)

Wash it, then Try brading it a night before and wake up, then unravel to loose locks!

When your hair is damp, try using hair gel, or a lot of curling mousse and just crimping/twisting your hair with your hand and either blow dry it, or let it dry by itself.
