well all these people that are saying perm are so wrong....perms are for people with very thick and nappy hair(more so African Americans but other raises to) if you have straight hair you need to get a thing called curling iron

You didn't say how long, this drives my crazy when people don't tell all. Use a curling iron, that's the best way, or you could set it in rollers, but if it's chin length it may be too curly, it probably would have to be very long if you use curlers. Did you ever hear your grandmother talk about using rags, well this is the style that they used those for, get her to tell you, you'll crack up !!!!!! By the way, I forgot, Conair makes curling irons just for this.

to lock the curls in after 2 minutes it should be set than follow by a curl enhancing hair spray tht isnt to strong of hold so it isnt stiff

they work really well and last a long time =). Plus they are a LOT cheaper than the salons, and work just as well. Follow the directions closely and get a friend to help you out. Afterwards, you should get a trim because, with any strong chemical you put in your hair, your ends can get damaged. =)
