I have wavy hair but i want to keep it straight, but it only last so long...?

I have a good flat iron and i can make my hair looky really straight which i like cuz its looks neat and stuff, without the random waves. Also cuz it looks good with my layers. But By the time i get to school its wavy again. And the layerx will be curved in. What can I do to keep my hair straight

I think the humidity in the morning causes this since i have to wait on a bus. But it doesn't even seem humid but its makes my hair looses the straightness. help plzzzz

try using a light hairspray. be sure to spray it from far though, or else it will look fake. either that or get one of those japanese perms that make your hair straight. i suggest the hair spray though. or a hair serum such as biosilk or the garnier fructis anti-frizz serum. goodluck(:

omg i have the exact same problem but i have no idea what to do try putting your hood up so the wind doesnt blow your hair i dont even bother straightening it now whas the point i get split ends for no reason lool sorry

Oh, before you straighten your hair,wet it, then blow dry it and use the flattening iron. Then when you straighten your hair, go very slowly and use with caution. Every strip you do, you should at least go for 1 minute or so.. If not, wavy hair might be nice!

use hairspray. or what i use is the herbal essences dangerously straight finishing spray. it keeps your hair really straight even if you put it in a pony tail during gym or somethnig when you take it out its straight. hope i helped. =]

I have natural tight ringlets but this helps me keep my hair dead straight....

try blow-drying your hair when you wash it but DOWN the hair shaft, and with a flat paddle brush, dont shake the hairdryer either, it will just mess it up...

when it is completely dry, spray with heat defence spray straighten as normal, when straight, spray with a TINY amount of hairspray to keep it in place!

I have this problem ALL the time--I have wavy hair that gets really big if I don't straighten it--but of course, if I'm in any type of humidity, it explodes. Here's what you can do:

before you straighten your hair, you can put some kind of hold product in it from the drugstore. These will say that they're meant for holding hairstyles together on the bottle. They also make a special kind for people who want straight hair--like the herbal essence shampoos that say straight--you can buy "straight" shampoo, "straight" conditioner, and "straight" styling holding product.

Also, when you finish straightening your hair, you could instead use hair spray. probably simpler and cheaper.

Also...when you straighten your hair, make sure you do all of it. Sometimes, when i oversleep, i just do the top and a bit of the bottom and the second i hit humidity it gets bigger than it would than if you had straightened it all through completely.

If you want your hair to stay straight and not be affected by the weather and humidity, you'll have to get it professionally straightened. Its a chemical process like a perm but to straighten the hair. You have to leave the product on the hair for about 30 to 45 min depending on the type of product and you will have to go back and get the product reapplied to the roots when your hair grows. You'll need to get a professional hair salon to do this, don't try it at home!
