I have very thick, wavy hair that doesn't stay straight. It always polker straight just after it has been straightened but about an hour afterwards or when I step outside of my house (no matter what the weather) it looks as if it hasn't been straigtened and is all wavy, curly, frizzy and kinky.
I have used various straightening products on my hair and continue to do so but they don't work. I am not sure if my straighteners don't suit my hair type or just getting old.
Does anybody have any ideas of what could be causing this or any products or staighteners that would suit my hair. It is driving me crazy and is not a good look to say I work in a top fashion store (looking like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards. Lol.)
Any help would be much appriciated
Thanks.

buy a kenta hair straightener, even though they are exensive
($130) its a good investment for your hair. also wash your hair at night and straighten it in the morning that way the natural oils from your hair will help it stay straight and not frizz
you could always try to wear your hair naturall or use rollers to make your curls defined.
hope this helps. good luck!

My hair is exactly like yours. Nothing I have used, has prevented it becoming a frizzy mess. I have give up now.
I allow my hair to do its natural thing and I tame the frizz down by using serum.
I have found that by combing it in the shower and giving one last blast of water and not touching it or brushing afterwards and I let it dry naturally, it becomes really silky and wavy, its nice like this.
My hair is not so much hard work now and the condition of it has improved alot. Also, I don't worry about the rain now.

You sound as though you have the same hair as me, drives me mad in rain and misty conditions.I think it is because your hair is very porous and retains water like mine bet it takes you ages to dry umm?My hairdresser has suggested having it chemically straightened which is the reverse of having a perm.I use a leave in conditioner, Aussie products are good.I also use VO5 tame and shine which I spray on before straighting and all over when I finish for a nice sheen.GHD's are proberbly the best straightners on the market.
